Device settings and information

Network settings

The device’s network settings can be accessed both through the Graphical Interface and the Web Interface.

iDFlex Pro has RJ45 connectors with 10/100BaseT type Ethernet interface and supports TCP/IP networks.

The correct operation of the Web Interface depends on the correct setting and operation of the network to which the device is connected, so always make sure that all the device’s network parameters have been correctly set.

The device’s network settings can be accessed via [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [NETWORK]:

The network parameters that can be set up are:

  • IP: is the IP address of the device, through which it will be identified on the network. Before assigning an IP address to the device, make sure that there is no other device using the same IP address, otherwise the device may malfunction, especially in the integrated solution.

  • Subnet mask: it is the subnet mask used by the network where the device is inserted. The device’s subnet mask must be the same as that of all computers on the subnet, otherwise it will not be possible to connect to the device to access the web manager.

  • Gateway: is the gateway IP of the connected network.

  • Port: It is a virtual connection that can be used in data transmission.

  • Force 10 Mbps: Which as the name suggests force 10 Mbps.

Warning: Changes in network settings through the Web Interface may require the user to re-identify itself (session expired) and on a different IP.

Language settings

The iDAccess Graphical Interface has three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.

In order to set the language of the Graphical Interface, access [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [LANGUAGES] and click the desired language icon.

Date and time settings

Date and Time settings can be accessed by [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [DATE AND TIME].

On this screen, it is possible to set the current date and time, as well as define the start and end date of daylight-saving time.

To save changes click [OK].

Click [EXIT] if you want to go back to the main screen without saving changes.

Alarm settings

The iDFlex security system is composed of open-door detectors, product tampering detector, panic finger, which work together to ensure the integrity of the security policies to be implemented by the device.

Warning: For the internal alarms to work, it is necessary that the alarm outputs are active. For more information, see the item Alarm output section.

Internal alarms

Internal alarms are alarms previously set up on the device.

Possible violation situations are:

  • Open Door Detection: when a door opening sensor properly connected to the device signals that the door in question is open for a longer time than set, the device triggers the alarm.

  • Detecting Door Breaking: in case the device has not released access to a certain door and the open-door sensor connected to the door indicates its opening, the device triggers the alarm.

  • Panic Finger: when a user releases access to a door using their panic finger, after a pre-set time the alarm is activated. For more information about Panic Finger see section 6.1 Users. To access the internal alarm settings, go to [MENU] -> [ALARMS] -> [INTERNAL ALARMS].

Mark the events that will activate the alarm and set up the trigger times that you consider necessary. To save the changes made, click [OK] or click [EXIT] to discard the changes made.

Alarm Output

In this menu it is possible to enable and disable the buzzer sound signal in alarm conditions.

Maximum triggering time(s): Through this parameter it is possible to set the time in which the internal buzzer will be activated in alarm conditions.

Security Box

The Security Box has the function of configuring the external activation module (MAE).

Possible settings are:

  • Enabled: It enables the door sensor to work.
  • Operation mode: can be NO or NC. (Glossary)
  • Opening time (ms): The time the door must remain open in milliseconds when access is authorized.
  • Smart Closing: If this option is enabled, the relay will be turned off as soon as it is detected that the door has been closed through the door sensor. Therefore, it will be activated at most until the time set in “Opening time”.

Set Wiegand Output

In "Menu / Settings / General Setting / Next Page / Set Output", it is possible to choose the information that will be sent in the wiegand output.

Possible settings are:

  • ID (Standard): The ID will always be sent regardless of the type of identification.
  • Authorized card: The card number will be sent when identified, but when access is via biometrics, the user ID will be sent.
  • Any card: The card number will always be sent (even if not identified), but when access is via biometrics, the user ID will be sent.
