Network settings
To access the network settings menu, simply follow the path [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [NETWORK].
Network properties
To access the network properties, go to [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [NETWORK] -> [NETWORK PROPERTIES].
The settings that can be adjusted on this page are:
- IP: The static IP address that the device should assume;
- Netmask: The network mask that the device should use;
- Gateway: The IP address of the network gateway;
- Port (Web): The network port number used;
- DHCP: Enables/Disables the DHCP protocol for network configuration. If this setting is active, the IP, subnet mask, and gateway settings are automatically defined by the protocol and, therefore, cannot be manually changed.
DNS
This feature allows the configuration of the device's DNS servers.
802.1X
Press the [NEXT] button to navigate to the next screen. In the following menu, the 802.1X PEAP authentication of the product can be configured.
The settings that can be changed on this page are:
- 802.1X: enables or disables 802.1X (PEAP) authentication;
- Inner Authentication: the internal authentication used to validate user credentials;
- Login: username credential;
- Password: user password credential.
After setting the credentials, press the [NEXT] button to check the authentication status.
The possible status values are:
- Initializing: the authentication process is initializing;
- Disconnected: 802.1X authentication is disabled or it was not possible to connect to the authenticator or authentication server;
- Connecting: the device is connecting to the authenticator and authentication server;
- Authenticating: the authentication process is being executed;
- Authenticated: the device has been authenticated on the network;
- Aborting: the authentication process is being aborted;
- Held: the device was not authenticated and did not receive permission to access network resources or it was not possible to connect to the authenticator or authentication server;
- Forcing authorization: 802.1X authentication is disabled and the device's network port is authorized without the need for authentication;
- Forcing unauthorization: the device's network port is not authorized and any authentication attempts will be ignored;
- Restarting: the supplicant is restarting;
- Unknown status: an internal error prevented the supplicant from initializing correctly.
SSL protocol
On this screen, you can enable the SSL protocol, used to provide security in network communications.
After enabling it, the type of certificate should be defined: Self-Signed Certificate or Certificate from a Certification Authority.
If you want to export the certificate using a USB flash drive, simply select the export option. In this case, there is no certificate to export, as informed on the screen. If you want to upload a certificate, the administrator needs to select the option [UPLOAD CERTIFICATE] and proceed to the screen below.
OpenVPN
To access the OpenVPN settings, follow the path [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [NETWORK] -> [OPENVPN].
On this page, you can configure OpenVPN settings, such as using manual login and password or uploading a configuration file. After setting the VPN parameters, press the [NEXT] button to check the VPN status.
OpenVPN status
This feature allows viewing the current status of OpenVPN. When connected, it is green.
The possible colors are:
- Green: device connected to OpenVPN.
- Gray: OpenVPN is disabled or there is a security protocol failure.
- Red: The device has an authentication failure.
After setting the network parameters, press the [OK] button and wait for the configuration to be applied.
You can also retrieve the OpenVPN logs by plugging a USB flash drive to the device and pressing the button [OPENVPN LOGS]. Functionality also available on the Web Interface.
Device Name
This feature allows assigning a custom name to the devices, uniquely identifying them on the network. To access the network settings, follow the path [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [NETWORK] -> [DEVICE NAME].
When enabled, the custom device name corresponds to the name set in the text field on the page.
