Diagnostics

On the Diagnostics screen, you can adjust settings that help diagnose device issues or generate general reports. To access it, follow the path [MENU] -> [SETTINGS] -> [GENERAL SETTINGS] -> [SYSTEM] -> [DIAGNOSTIC].

SSH Access

This feature allows you to authorize or deny remote access via SSH. If disabled, remote access will not be allowed.

Note: Requesting Control iD support may require SSH access to be enabled.

Reboot URL

This feature allows you to restart the device without needing a valid session. If enabled, anyone can restart the device using the reboot endpoint /reboot.

Enable USB port

This feature allows you to enable the device's USB port. If enabled, you can import files from USB to the device and export files from the device to USB.

Note: These features should be used carefully, as enabling them can cause the device to be restarted or accessed remotely. These features are provided to support situations where the device encounters issues.

Generate logs

Generate diagnostic log

This feature allows the extraction of diagnostic logs, which are logs generated by the system that record actions performed by the device and, primarily, operational errors. This report is intended to assist in diagnosing problems with the device. It is recommended to generate and send these logs if customer support is needed.

To generate the report, click the [GENERATE DIAGNOSTIC LOG] button, insert a USB drive, and click the [OK] button.

Generate audit log

This feature allows the extraction of audit logs. The report can be used as a tool to analyze the device and verify its events, providing the last 25,000 records, which is the maximum amount stored in the device's database.

You can filter the report generation by 8 log event categories:

  • config: configuration audit log. Records all changes in system settings.
  • api: API audit log. Records API access session requests.
  • usb: USB audit log. Records all events involving USB.
  • network: network audit log. Records all changes related to the device’s network.
  • time: time audit log. Records changes in device time.
  • online: online mode audit log. Records server connections and responses.
  • menu: device menu audit log. Records menu access in offline and online modes.
  • boot: device boot occurrences.

To generate the report, click the [GENERATE AUDIT LOG] button, select the desired filters, click the [GENERATE] button, insert a USB drive, and click the [OK] button.

After setting the diagnostic parameters and generating the reports, press the [SAVE] button to save the settings.

Enable SNMP

The device also supports the SNMP protocol, which can be enabled or disabled both on the device and through the web interface. This protocol is responsible for managing the network to monitor devices connected to a network via their IP.
